Considering I don't remember the last time I wrote a blog, I guess today's as good of a day as any to write another one!
I'm currently in my second semester as a freshman here at Northwest Missouri State University. My first semester classes were ok, but a bit challenging. I wasnt' at all used to the homework, which got to me. My roomate, Zo, was, well, I'll just call her interesting... She was from Texas, and decided to go back there for good right before Halloween. She figured since she didn't want to go to classes and that there was no way for her to pass her classes, she dropped out leaving me without a roomate. To tell you the truth, I kinda want a roomate, but not another like her... one is enough. It gets lonely around here, but at least it gives me my own space to do what I want.
This second semester is going... well... let's just say it's going and leave it at that. I really think that I took too many hard-core classes. My Calc 2 class takes up way too much time. Not only does she give us daily homework, but she assigns the difficult ones. Plus we have online homework, daily quizes, and projects. Beyond Calc, I took a Discrete Mathematics which happens to be right after my Calc class, 4 days a week. We have to do too much work beyond class, but it is during the lunch hour, and having it right after Calc makes it almost too much. Plus have you ever heard someone talk with a monotonous voice? Listen to him, he has no excitement or emotion at all. Maybe that's why I feel like I want to fall asleep during class... My Intro to Literature class is pretty fun. We read several different works that are a lot interesting than they sound. Composition isn't too bad. I only have to write 3 major papers in there. Computers and Information Technology (long name, just pointing out the obvious) is really easy. Besides studying how a computer works, we learn so many things about Microsoft Works, it's really fun. Anyway, enough about classes.
I have found my new best friend. I know this might sound lame, but the Library is about the best place ever! This week I've decided that since I had 2 math tests on the same day, and that I have 2 major papers due next Monday, that it was the opportune time to finally pay the library a visit. I love it so much. I don't get distracted like I do here in my room, and it's so quite I can actually hear myself think for once, scary, I know, I'm frightened too.
Anyway, I really should go start my papers and get ready for my only class today. I love Thursdays! Anything else you want to know about my life, just ask! I love questions!
