  • Wow

So I know that it's been way too long since I've updated this thing, but for right now I just want to share an overview of my life with one simple little video.  My sister told me to look something up on Youtube today and I stumbled upon this perfect description.  Some things may not be as extreme as what happens to this girl, but all I know is I'm still stuck in a hole spiritually and I just now looked back today and realized this.  We all need help sometimes...     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSwCOs-uXzU

  • Midterms

Midterms... the second worst word in the world to a college student, only second to finals. Every college student hates midterm week, every college student that is except for me.

For the two semesters that I have been at Northwest I have not had one test during midterm week.  My first semester I had three tests the week before, and this time I have two tests and one paper due.  Are they trying to save my grades?  For some of my classes I really wish I had one more chance to improve my grades before they put the D and F list out.  For other classes I'm very pleased with this due to the fact that I haven't had any other grades in there.  I almost wish that for midterm week I would just anticipate the coming of a test for my classes.  It makes little sense to me why they just don't all give us tests this week.  Oh well, off to study.

  • It's been WAY too long, or so that's what I've been told...

Considering I don't remember the last time I wrote a blog, I guess today's as good of a day as any to write another one!

I'm currently in my second semester as a freshman here at Northwest Missouri State University.  My first semester classes were ok, but a bit challenging.  I wasnt' at all used to the homework, which got to me.  My roomate, Zo, was, well, I'll just call her interesting... She was from Texas, and decided to go back there for good right before Halloween.  She figured since she didn't want to go to classes and that there was no way for her to pass her classes, she dropped out leaving me without a roomate.  To tell you the truth, I kinda want a roomate, but not another like her... one is enough.  It gets lonely around here, but at least it gives me my own space to do what I want.

This second semester is going... well... let's just say it's going and leave it at that.  I really think that I took too many hard-core classes.  My Calc 2 class takes up way too much time.  Not only does she give us daily homework, but she assigns the difficult ones.  Plus we have online homework, daily quizes, and projects.  Beyond Calc, I took a Discrete Mathematics which happens to be right after my Calc class, 4 days a week.  We have to do too much work beyond class, but it is during the lunch hour, and having it right after Calc makes it almost too much.  Plus have you ever heard someone talk with a monotonous voice? Listen to him, he has no excitement or emotion at all.  Maybe that's why I feel like I want to fall asleep during class...  My Intro to Literature class is pretty fun.  We read several different works that are a lot interesting than they sound.  Composition isn't too bad.  I only have to write 3 major papers in there.  Computers and Information Technology (long name, just pointing out the obvious) is really easy.  Besides studying how a computer works, we learn so many things about Microsoft Works, it's really fun.  Anyway, enough about classes.

I have found my new best friend.  I know this might sound lame, but the Library is about the best place ever!  This week I've decided that since I had 2 math tests on the same day, and that I have 2 major papers due next Monday, that it was the opportune time to finally pay the library a visit.  I love it so much.  I don't get distracted like I do here in my room, and it's so quite I can actually hear myself think for once, scary, I know, I'm frightened too.

Anyway, I really should go start my papers and get ready for my only class today.  I love Thursdays!  Anything else you want to know about my life, just ask! I love questions!

  • first entry in forever!!!

wow! it's been forever since i last wrote in here.  well let's see, i  graduated from high school in may, and i am still not done with my thank you cards, which i should be done with them soon, i hope!  in june i pretty much just worked and attended cassie's softball games, then went to adventureland with the junior high youth group.  in july i went down to branson, missouri with my family and then following imediately after that i went to colorado with my youth group and climbed to the top of 2 mountains, which was the best feeling in the world!  if you have never experiensed this feeling i recommend that you at least try it. even if you don't make it to the top, there is still so much to enjoy along the way.  just one piece of advice though, don't ever even think about climbing down mt. ross.  it's a long story.  after that i got to spend the whole day with my best friend, julia.  we went to worlds of fun, then went shopping and found the best store in the world, barnes and noble!

now i'm just trying to get prepared for college.  i move in 21 days and i don't hardly have anything ready to go.  i think summers need to be longer, although this one has been the longest i've had in forever. oh well, i'll get everything ready to get done.
